The Hell Plague
For the past week I have been living in a nightmare. Seven days ago, a deadly disease was released from a science lab, and escaped all across the planet. People would die just by being within the cloud of disease. It was given the name “The Hell Plague”, as it caused millions of people to die every day. By the third day the plague was released only a couple hundred were left; I was lucky to be one of them.
On the fourth day of the plague being released something strange and terrifying started happening. I was with the group of people who survived in an abandoned military base when we saw hordes of zombified people coming towards us. We only had guns, knives, and a limited supply of ammo. The zombies started to run closer and closer to the base until they hit the door, which was the only thing blocking us from them. At the time I was getting ready to fight, but since I was only a young teenager I wasn’t fit for fighting. The people who were guarding the door informed someone that the zombies were breaking in. I heard someone’s voice yell for people to go to the underground part of the base, while the people who were strong enough to fight help fend off the zombies.
I ran as fast as I could down to the underground base, which was just a bunch of hallways with mini rooms at certain points. I was scared, and didn’t know what to do. I tried to control my thoughts when I heard screaming from above, and a gruff voice, which made my skin crawl. It was then I saw zombies slowly coming towards us. The zombies had black skin covered with blood. This was something out of a nightmare. Everyone started to run down through the halls in every direction. I ran with a small group of people further away from the zombies. I didn’t look back; I kept running. We were soon cornered by zombies, and we started shooting and stabbing zombies. So many thoughts were running through my head. There were too many zombies. I felt something grab my foot and pull me. It was a large man, strong looking, and tall. He, and his men grabbed me and a couple other young people away from the base. We got to an armored truck and drove away fast. I looked back to see the base surrounded by zombies.
Currently, I’m living with forty other people in a small tent. I haven’t seen any zombies since then, but I have a feeling they will come back, and the plague will take over.
